Sorry to change topic on you Ty but I was wondering what LS engine you are using for your car? They are amazing engines. Pretty simple to get 400hp to the wheels with a head and cam swap with the LS1 or LS6. Pretty amazing for 346 CID! Look forward to seeing your car.

np. 67sd396...the motor is out of a 2002 z28 camaro i bought online..out of walnut creek..with 20,000 miles. im doing some mild up grades on the motor for a little more power....it was a total..car cost me 3,500 and 1,50 to get it home..its a 310hp 340 torq..originall this car was to go back as a stocker..i have the original drive train and rear end..but the motor had a freeze crack in it..i didnt know it when i bought the car..i have a 283 and a powerglide.. from a 64 elky.. i tried to find a date coded motor for the car..no luck..i kinda got talked into this .. but was not planned originally.. people were calling me old school..but i had  to explain why and about the car and its rarity.. but nothings been cut or hacked all bolt on stuff..i thought i would have gotten a bunch of slack about what i did to the car ...as far as the motor and tranny..i decided to upgrade the suspension and stuff.. 1 wanted a lighter and better handling car..but the car had to look stock as possible  outside and inside.. it will be a column shift 4sp auto..car was a bench 3spd manual..may put buckets in it not sure..putting a auto matic colum in it..im trying to get this car done but some things have come up so the car is on hold..because of money..i hope so too...im also lighting up th car alot..trying to get it close to 3,000 pounds.. currently the frame is in mock up up but the motor does run ..the gas tank is a rocklund tank wich is sumpted on top..
with a corvette fuel pump..inside..

That's the way to do it! I like cars that are mild on the outside and interior, but more modern with engine brakes etc...

Does that engine/trans fit without any mods to the tunnel or firewall?

hello ak 67sd..i thought ide get a bunch of slack from people.for what i was doing with the car..havent had the body back on the frame yet..the tranny tunnel maybe..ive heard yes and no..firewall they said no problems..i looked at a 65 chevelle with a ls1 and a auto tranny installed on street and performance s webpage..i took some of the ideas of a new car and far as light weight body parts drive train and suspension upgrades and brakes..and put it into a 65 beaumont custom convert..looking at anything i can buy to lighten up the car...
