attacked by an Owl today?

Wife was getting some wood to keep my Beaumont warm when an Owl attempted a landing on her shoulder, it caused them both to freak out. I wish it had of been me, owls are cool. There was no attack, but I could see why it felt that way for a few seconds? He stayed around for a while, I have seen him regularly, but always at dusk when you cant get a good look.

Never met an owl.  But I came face to face with a grey wolf; we just stared at one another for what seemed like an enternity.  I took it as a sign of good luck. smile

Owls are a cool site for sure.  Every time I walk in the door at home I get to see them everywhere.
(wife collects every conceivable version of owl ornament possible.. probably 400 total)

We used to see a Snowy white owl in the Cp rail yards. It would swoop in to the flock of pigeons and come out with one every time. Was sure neat to see.

That would be cool. We have a hawk that likes to swoop down and take the odd Mourning Dove or sparrow thats hanging around our feeders.

I like owls also. I hear them quite often ... but rarely see them. I see bald eagles and hawks every second day.

Lucky she still has her eyes! Beautiful creatures but like all birds of prey, very dangerous!

We have a huge owl that has been hanging around maybe 100 feet from the house. Beautiful.

We are seeing some snowies this winter too, but not as many as some years. I too am an owl lover.

"Wife was getting some wood to keep my Beaumont warm "   LOL!!!!

That happened to a buddy and I once.  He took it to the Fish and Game people who confirmed that there was no naughty business involved in the death.  Once they did that, they let him have it to get taxidermed...  Is it too late to do that?...

I caught this beautiful hawk here last fall. It had been injured. I wanted to take it to rehab but they were closed and sadly he died within a few hours of me catching him.

Agree, Owls are Cool!  Sounds like my Mothers house in Ontario....Everywhere you look, theres miniature owls staring at you...  LOL

Don't know how many she has though, I'll ask her to count them, that'll keep her busy for a while....
