Hi from Cyprus

Hi i am a young owner of a Pontiac Laurentian . My grandfather used to have this car from 1965 . The car he was using it as TAXI   in Corfu ( island of Greece) and this car has many memories on it.. Biggest one is that in this car James Bond went in.. When they was producing the movie FOR YOUR EYES ONLY my grandfather was the private driver of this big actor . on 1982 he stopped of doing Taxi runs and pu the car in his garage.the car stayed in there for many years . 1988 when i was born.. He said that he will prepare the car slowly so when i become 18 to take it to Cyprus with me where i live on 2002 he started repairing it and the next summer 2003 when i went there for holidays the car was ready but he told me he will keep it locked until 2006 when i will be 18 . on 2006 he had a stroke (some days before i visit him in Corfu and take the car to cyprus ) .i stayed there because doctors said it was his last days.. i was there for 2 weeks and every day was better so i said ok i will not take the car now because i didnt want to take it from him ..5 days after i left he died :/ .. next summer i went to bring the car and there was many problems with the paper-works in greece and they didnt let me bring it .. after 4 years i made it :) the car is in Cyprus 4 months now and many works are already done.. so im looking forward to have some help from you guys and listen some suggestions
thanks and regards
George

Welcome to the site George. Where do you live in Cyprus? I was there in 1992-93.

I'm glad you were finally able to get the car back home with you, it's a nice reminder of your Grandfather, no doubt.smile

Hello again George from this side of the Atlantic.

It would be good if you had pictures of your Grandfather, the Laurentian, and Roger Moore (007).
I took 4 years for you to bring the car from Greece ... that's determination. It shows how much your Grandfather and his car means to you! Enjoy!

Be sure to post a list of parts you need and someone on here will likely have them!
