I had one biggrin RED, White top    keep spinning its tires all the time disbelief

would only go 125 mph    got rid of it  396 would only get 19 mpg

Cool ad. Thanks for posting! (It would be neat to find the original photo's of these ads. I know that at one point you could call the paper, provide them with a date/page/description of photo and they would provide you with a copy of the photo. I wonder if they would do that for these?)

That would have been added to the ad by the agency that placed the ad. In those days it would have been a local Vancouver agency. They would get a stock ad from GM and modify it by adding text on the bottom. I wouldn't place a lot of stock in that aspect. On the other hand the main ad with the knocked out type would have been produced by GM and it says "Beaumont, at your Pontiac dealer's"
