There seem to be slight variations to the GM orange engine paint that I've purchased. My question is...Are there deliberate deviations/versions for various model years of blocks? (And if so, what would be appropriate for a '66 small block Beaumont?) thx

I don't know what colour is appropriate for a '66 Beaumont Geoff, but I've used Duplicolour Chevy Orange engine paint with good results. It goes on nice.

I alway thought that 69 until corparate blue came along that the orange seemed to be a little more red coloured. I remember my brother inlaws 69 nova 350 block was a more redish orange than the older blocks. I have seen this talked about on other forums as well. Some say they noticed a difference in 69 some 70 .

There are three to four different colors used in the GM orange line from the popular chevy orange to an almost red color used in the trucks. I will see if I still have the legend and the codes and will post them as soon as I get them home.

Be patient as I am very busy at work right now.
Thanks for the feedback all. I look forward to seeing the legend Laurentian!
