Here is what my youngest daughter, who still lives in Wisconsin, recently sent to me:
I found a better way to shovel last night. Get 2 beers, place one in the snow bank at the end of the driveway & the other one near the garage's snow bank. Make one pass down the driveway, take a drink. Make pass back up the driveway, take a drink. Beer stays extremely cold & then I can throw empties in the recycle bin on way back into house. However, this process is not able to be used in the morning before work :)
So even though I am only an Honorary Canuck (grandparents on my father's side having immigrated from Quebec Province, eh?) (and having hung out here plenty), I am thinking that for y'all who cannot afford a snowblower and have a smallish driveway to clear, this might be the technique of choice, eh? Dave

Mine would take at least 3 beers at the bottom, and 4 beers at the top!

i have two driveways!! lucky for me, i love beer!!! I actually have a really nice neighbor who likes to play with his only big boy toy and does the driveway for me...then we have a beer!
He's on Vancouver island, not Vancouver, LOL. That's funny cuz we only got 2 inches an hour and a half south, but 1/2 south of us got hit with a foot as well.
we just got nailed here on van isle...a foot in 7 hours and still coming!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ... my heart bleeds for ya Tim!
