ok well due to the response ive gotten from trying to sell these coupes i figure ive got a few needles in a haystack so i ask you guys . are any parts being reproduced for the 39 pontiac coupe window trim seals, locks window winders rad holder surrounds body mts, dash parts im hoping to build one into a salt flat style race car the grey car thats most complete is going to be my daily driver the others i guess will just be hangin around most of the small dash stuff is pretty toast so wiring, brakes, and mechanical is going to be my priority on the grey car ,so far the race car im hoping to put a big block 454 in it tubbed wheelson a nine ich rear end of sorts then disc sumthinerother on the front stay tuned i'll be askin lotsa questions thx guys
Well brokeass, you've got your work cut out for you and your pocket book! The window seals are available through "Steele rubber parts". They reproduce almost all 1920's to 1960's window seals, weather stripping, etc... I believe that the body mounts on your car were rubber pads like my '34. They are readily available as well. Your window winders have rebuild kits available on ebay or try "Chev's of the 40's" (I know it's a '39, but they carry older stuff too) or "The Filling Station". As for your other parts? I think you will be doing a lot of swap meets / internet searches for your dash etc. You are planning on rodding it so go at it and have fun!
I would gladly buy one but that's a long drive. As far as parts, panels, etc I might be able to find you a few things if you like. Check out Hemmings Motor News they usually have a lot of vintage parts and cars and retailers. This is a car we have up here, going to bring it home as soon as it dries up. James
does anyone have a production count for pontiac coupes? if you were me how many would you try to save? ive got enough to put the sheet metal all together so they look like complete cars im working on getting rolling chassis i might try to register them as u builds one out of the six maybe two are going to get squished . due to lack of intrest an space the rolling car is going to have an absolute strip down gimme yer idears

That seems to be the biggest problem brokeass. If they were rollers, they are easy to ship. I was looking at a 30's Chev to ship from Alberta: 4 companies wanted nothing to do with the vehicle because it wasn't running and the 5th company wanted extra $$$ to cover their cost of extra work because it was a roller. If your cars were also registered, that would make a big difference as well to potential buyers. The fact you are going to try and assemble some is more appealing to a buyer than someone looking at a pile of parts. I would be interested (as we discussed before...) but shipping these now is getting more and more expensive. Just my 3 cent opinion.
Are these Cdn. Poncho Coupe's??? If so is the body not the same as a Chevy. & all the w/strip,glass, etc. would be the same & easier to get for a chev.????

The car I was talking about was going to be shipped from Alberta to southern Ontario. It would have cost $1500 to $1700 because the car was just a roller.
