There were no 69 SD convert. , only Sd's are on the Deluxe 2 door sedan and hartop platform. They had in 68 though.

No, His would be a Custom model 73667 if 8 cylinder and 73567 if six cylinder. Also interesting note to 69 is buckets and console were not available on SD cars only bench seats. Buckets and console only available on the Custom line with the the largest engine avalable is the 300 HP 350.

What is the model number of your cowl tag. The problem is that they never made a deluxe convertable only a custom. The bucket and console only available on the custom series. Love to see your documentation . Stranger things have happened.

This is from my package I got from GM Vintage Vehicle Services . What you have goes against what it is printed below. (SD 396 Deluxe coupes only) But I wonder if some Dealership made a few out of a Custom convert.

Love to see the cowl tag info on this one.

Looks like Steve has one and if he knows theres 21, he may have GM Historical on it ...

Looking forward also. Could be one of those late year change things. As far as all the info we have there is no model number for a 69 deluxe convertable only a custom, so they would have had to add the SD package to a Custom convert. That would make it a sport custom not a sport deluxe. We have seen stranger things though out of GM. I hope it is legit as I do not know why GM would have a 68 sd convert but no 69.

This page also show's no Deluxe convert model also in whats new shows sport deluxe series has been cancelled and only avaliable as a extra cost option on a deluxe coupe and deluxe sport coupe.

I would have thought, to make a Custom conv. with buckets seats, a SD, would be emblems and stripes? confuse

But when someone says there were 21 They must have seen some documentation biggrin

If you get the GM of Canada documentation for your car, it will show how many Beaumont convertibles were built. Well worth the money spent.

There were no SD convertibles built in 1969 and only 43 SD hardtops built. Any year SD convertible is a rare car, only 66 or 67 built in 1967 and 1968. You might want to repost this in the Beaumont section.

Thanks Bow-Tied. I am located in Peterborough .I own a 68 Beaumont that I am restoring. It needs alot of work.A friend of mine has a 1969 convertible with a big block and a 4 speed trans.I didn't know if it was original or rare.Thanks,Steve.

There is also the bucket seat issue, as not offered on the SD coupe and sport coupe cars so why would they only offer it on a SD convert.

As you see below A51 option not available on the SD models

Seems it was a issue on the Yenko site back in 09 also. His last sentance is well said.

I can find no production numbers for Z/25 Beaumont convertibles, though we did build 488 Beaumont Custom V8 convertibles, and 40 of the 6 cylinder ones. In life we find there are always anomalies and nothing is cast in stone.
