tough to watch should make whats left more valuable
It never works that way at all.
Back in the 40's and 50's there were guys buying and destroying all sorts of rarer cars to make the ones they owned more valueable, it had the opposite effect in the long run.

YES!!! as far asI know. The fellow that's there on thurs. [last fall] said everything was going to the crusher in the spring & property going up for sale. Aparantly the family wants 'nothing" to do with running the yard after paul died!!! There has to be 600 to 8oo cars & trucks in there right back to the 30's Packards Study's Buicks, Caddy's, tons of Ford products, & many British cars. Lots of 60's to mid 70's Poncho's as well. Saw atleast 4 63/64 Big Pontiac 2dr. sedans in there. One thing we did notice, there wasn't one "Tri five chevy" to be seen??? Guess they've been bought out???

When I was kid around 10-12 yrs old I went with my grandpa to the wreckers every chance i could. It mesmerised me from that time on. I have seen a lot of vintage cars over the years go to the crusher. Oh well, there seems to be more cars than people like us who want to save them. Thats just the way it is.
If anyone gets the info on Jackson's I would love to take a trip out there myself. Just watching that Corvair (which looks like all the damage was done recently) and that full size Pontiac go to the crusher make me want to save some stuff this spring/summer

Jackson's Auto Wreckers is just south of the village of Kendal, Ontario, about 11 km. north of Newtonville, east of Oshawa, Ontario.
Take Exit #448 from the 401 and head north on Newtonville Road for approximately 10 km. Keep a lookout for a black Edsel 4 door on the left hand side (this is Jackson's), just as you enter Kendal. If you pass a ball field/communinity center in Kendal, you have gone too far. You will not see much from the road except a dozen or so cars, the black Edsel and a farmhouse.

Not having any luck with getting a hold of anybody. Would like to make a trip up asap. Anybody else have any luck getting through or have any info on whats happening. Thx
