possibly another vehicle

so... last fall i was working as a farm helper and i discovered something very rare and old in the woods next to a feild....... a nearly complete 1950's pontiac 4 door... straight 6... kind of remided me of a belair in a way
its been in the woods sinse the owner was 20 some and hes 60 now im a good friend of the family and i have the oppourtunity to get it if i want but the body is badly rusted but fixable if someone had faith in the car
i was told by the owners brother to go ask him about it and tell him that i would want to eventuly have it restored and the owner would either give it to me or sell it very cheaply
wish i could get at it to get some pics but im going to gave to wait for a while angered.gif
i would of got it before but i was living where i had no place to put it

That's a cool find Justin!
I'd like to see pics of it, once all the snow melts away from it (I understand, my parts car's roof is just coming to view again).
Is the glass intact on the '50s Poncho?

Have you got a drive train for your Parisienne yet?
Just a couple more questions, does the hood tach work on your Parisienne, and is it from a GTO?

yeah all the glass is in the 50's poncho
for a drivetrain im working out a very good deal with my brother.... he has a 305 and a 5 speed for me with ONLY 80 000 kilometers on it and i can get it for 200 from him...good deal? haha and he has a built 454 and a 4 speed for 1000 never raced if i want it but i dont think i want it... all i need is a small block
as far as i know the hood tach works but im not 100% sure and  i think the hood is from a 69 gto
i hope i can get the 50's 4 door  but my yard will be too full..... although 2 parisiennes and a 4 door would be quite the collection!

It's good that the glass is intact, at least the interior is safer from the weather. Hopefully mice didn't get inside too much. If it's been sitting in a field/woods for that long, the frame will be bad, so take care when towing it out.

The 305 sounds good, but for $200.00 he should install it too! What are brothers for?biggrin
Glad you saved some money, and didn't buy the Buick engine.

The hood wouldn't be from a GTO (won't fit on a Parisienne), but the tach might be. If it's a real GTO tach in good shape, it is worth some $$$!

You have (2) Parisiennes now???confuse

It's highly unlikely that it would be an aftermarket hood. Someone was very good at modifying it. It looks great.
Got any closer pics of the hood & tach?

yeah the 50's car has papers ahah and yeah i got the situation with the GP papers fixed up, both the previous owner and the person the car was registered to were very lazy people.... had to even take him to access PEI myself to get a duplicate copy of the registration
i learned a valuable lesson in that situation and i hope some other people did too
