RE: New 1966 Beaumont door panels soon

Interesting. I spoke with them about a year ago trying to persuade them to produce them (since they do 1965). We were close to making it happen, then they declined. I hope they do it this time! I look forward to the pictures! Thanks for posting.

I'm set to pull the trigger next week on some. I've been torn between Chevelle and GTO ones (as Beaumont were not an option). I was leaning towards the GTO as they are a little more "upscale" with the carpet on the bottom. Some of them even have a moulded area for a GTO badge which I suspect are about the same dimensions as the Beaumont emblem. However, that is now on hold with this recent development.

I really hope they come out exact as originals I need a few sets

SET A FRONT AND REAR SAMPLE TO SMS AUTO FABRICS IN CANBY OREGON.
THE FINISH PRODUCT WAS EXACTLY AS ORIGINAL,
VERY HAPPY WITH THEM.

When I was having the dialogue with Legendary, part of my sales pitch was that from what I could see, the 66 Beaumont door panels were the same as the Tempest (with the exception of the Beaumont panel having a chrome mylar strip). Therefore, I thought there should be a market for them...

That's exactly what I was going to do last summer, then I thought I'd be better off putting them away and have an "expert" try that someday.  (Sounds like we have an "expert"!)  Nice to see that there are still some uncompromising enthusiasts out there!
I agree Ron, I hope they do a good job.  (Legendary certainly has a great reputation!)

Edit:  I believe the original post indicated that Legendary was the manufacturer, and that was since changed to Dales? Hence my comments.

The photo looks good. How do they look in person? (Mine have a silver mylar type tape on them. Are they planning on adding them?)

Have not seen them in person yet. As for the Chrome/Mylar strip I don't

know. It would be nice if they could make something rather than the

buyer having to do it

hi guys. i also was looking for a set of door panels for my 66 beaumont, and found a guy named terry, on kijiji. i think he is working out of british columbia (not sure), and he offered me new panels, on boards, with the chrome strip in the middle for 149.00/set. i am just finishing doing the deal with him, so i will let you know how it works out. his email address is: uptowncruisers@yahoo.ca
