Funny!
It's just an old historic wagon photo I found online.
If it was for sale in that condition now I'd already own it.

OK, what is that grill thing in the back of the wagon.

Is Como Hudson on Bay Como?

I can see it is a V-8, but do '67s have the displacement marked with badges on the front fenders for the big blocks, or is it impossible to tell what engine is in the car without opening the hood?

Thanks.

You said it! It is impossible unless you open the hood!

"...Back in the late 1960s there was a separate Como-Hudson Police Department with Doug Tetro as its director. The police car/ambulance was this black and white station wagon, while behind it, the doors of the fire hall were green. The fire trucks were all painted red. Photo courtesy of Rod L. Hodgson..."

I have a friend from Hudson. It is a wealthy anglophone town, basically a suburb of Montreal. That picture must have been taken before amalgamation of Como and Hudson into Hudson.

Being a wealthy suburb of Quebec you might be surprised to know that the Honourable Jack Layton calls Hudson home but of course you might be surprised to know that Jack Layton's father Robert was a top advisor to Prime Minister Mulroney serving as a Cabinet Minister and National Caucus Chairman. My friend grew up with Jack Layton and they both live in Toronto today. I'd have to admit that due to a mutual friend and my community work, Jack Layton would recognize me in a crowd and know me by first name too.

Very cool picture, just proves that behind every picture is 1000 words.

Every picture tells a story. Or in this case the picture evokes several stories.

Regarding the V8 badge, if you look closely you'll see that it has a 967 V8 wink.gif

In Ancaster back in 1973 the Police Department picked up a pair of new AMC Ambassador cruisers. They had 401s and the full LAPD Matador cop package. Big stabilizer bars, blackwalls on h.d. wheels with dog dish caps (on an Ambassador). Being Ambassadors they had standard a/c, which was unusual for the day. The pair replaced a totalled 1971 Laurentian black and white and 1970 Ford Custom unmarked.
