54 Pontiac spear

Maybe someone here knows.

Ive been looking around a little online, and havent had much luck yet, BUT, Is the spear on the 54 Laurentian exactly the same as on the Starchief?  In pictures they look similar, but I wanted to see for sure.

Does anyone know of a good place to find chrome pieces like these?

Thanks

to me they are the same as the US model, but not the front fender one, since the front fender on a Canadian Pontiac are shorter. The door and the front part of the rear fender are the same.

hope this help.

I would look for US car to find those parts. Yours need only polishing or they are missing?

Fitz.

Id have to look again, but I know one or two are badly kinked in multiple places. They were taken off very badly. One, the previous owner actually screwed right through the chrome, into the body. ugh

Ill take some pictures when I can and post them.

Those stainless parts are repairable. I saw one long time ago cut in two on a customer's Hudson, and repaired like new.

I never considered repairing them.  I just thought they would be too far gone.  Ill have to look into it.  It would be nice to keep the original parts.

Thanks for the heads up

The driver side door one may just need some pounding around, but the front fender has been folded right over, and is bent as well.  If its like you say though Fitz, and they repaired one that was cut in 2, I guess they would be repairable.  Heres a couple pics of each of them.

Now I need to find a place that does that kind of work

The passenger side are not as bad, and I do have replacements for some of the others that are totally ruined/

They look very bad but they are repairable, for a canadian model you don't have much choice, instead find new one in a swap meet.

If you don't find anything around you I have someone here to do this kind of job if you need.

Ill keep that in mind.  Ill be looking around, but if I dont have any luck, ill give you a shout to see about seeing the person you know.  Id rather not have to do all the shipping back and forth if possible though.....
