That's a sharp car.

Apparemtly there were plans to offer a 1975 GTO on Ventura line but in the end the Buick V8 option made Pontiac reconsider and the GTO graphics etc...was withdrawn from plans. I suppose having a 350 in a GTO in 74 was bad enogh for die hards but at least it was a Pontiac engine in their minds. I personally never had an issue with the Buick 350, good torque and power imo.

Very nice car and collection, indeed! I had a '75 hatch as well... Not a Sprint though but had buckets and console with a 6cyl and THM350. I miss it........

A Texas car without a/c! The car looks very nice and original. Only the tires, stereo and dual exhast tips are incorrect. It has a Buick 350 2 barrel with the original ducting. Rear ratio is a tall 2.56, typical of the mileage drive GM was putting on after the fuel crisis combined with the thirstiest smog motors to date. The catalytic converters were the answer for 1975, allowing engineers to retune the car for better economy and performance. I wonder if the original "unleaded fuel" sticker is still near the gas door?

I remember a lot of new 1975 GM cars. That blue Ventura Sprint looks pretty original and would be difficult if not impossible to restore another to that appearance and originality.

Hey Cam, when I bought my first car there was one of these, same year too, at Warden and Eglinton Datsun Dealer, now Nissan. It was a copper colour, probably Aztec Bronze or something like that with White interior, black accents on dash and floor and console, black SPRINT graphics on body, Rally II wheels with raised letters, dual tailpipe exits behind tires. They wanted $3,200 for it and it was over my budget of $3,000. I ended up buying a V8 Monza for $2,700.

A friend of mine back in 1980 was in the market for a car after his 1974 Celica was written off. We went to a Volvo-Lada dealer in Burlington when we spotted a very clean 1975 Olds Omega Salon hatchback. It was light blue with matching interior with reclining buckets. It had Rocket Wheels, big stabilizer bars, and new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A 60 series. It had an Olds 350 4-barrel with dual tips (but single cat). With the rear seat folded down, my friend stretched out and declared the car suitable for wenching. GM did offer a tent-like option that attached to the open hatch. It was a nice handling and had enough power. Oh, the abuse it saw up in Haliburton. I was in the car when he nearly rolled it. Later the engine blew and another Olds went in.. It was sad to see it deteriorate. It had been an original paint car but after 4 years it was rusted through. There was a time when you could find cars like that but today is another story.
