Paint dividers on steering wheel.

Does anyone know of a trick  to crimp new Paint dividers onto the steering wheel?

they seem to be made of hard steel. tried vice grips

i put some on for a friend last year. i squeezed them tighter in a vice, then tapped them on to the wheel. seemed to be the only way that worked for us. good luck!

Here's a related question ....

What years and models were these used for ?

My 68 2+2 seems to have a perfect gap in it's steering wheel were one of these

would fit nicely. I'm not sure if it's meant for my car or I just have a natural gap.

Regards,

Scott

My '64 CS has them.

My '68 plain Parisienne hasn't.

Maybe they were just on the CS/Grande/2+2 wheels.

If they were on your sheel there should have been 4 of them

you may just have a "crack" where the wheel shrunk

I found them on this site for a good price
