'66 wiper motor crapped out. Guidance requested...

My wipers crapped out at the end of the fall.  I popped the switch out to see if that was where the problem was.  No such luck.  As I'm heading down to the States for a bit, I wondered if I should pick up a remanufactured wiper motor from OPG?  Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated.

thx

Be careful maybe you should get that numbers matching wiper motor rebuilt. Check it out first to make sure it is numbers matching and the fluid bottle too, You wouldn't want to have non numbers matching parts.

I'm thinking you might be pulling my leg Ray? (I checked the muffler bearings and they don't seem to be the cause...)

So, other than the switch or a break in the wiring, is it safe to guess that it is likely the motor?...

65camino is my electrical expert but when something doesn't work he usually gets out his meter and checks for continuity.

don't forget to check your linkage & wiper transmissions.......sometimes they seize up stopping the operation of the wiper motor ,also try tapping the motor ,if it starts operating the brushes are either sticking or worn out...... good luck
