this is not pontiac related but I need some help. I have a buick tach from my Dads old wildcat that I want to put in my GS buick, but it does not work .
I live near Barrie Ontario and was wondering if anyone knows a shop that repairs parts like this. I am not againt driving a little to get it to someone.
Couldn't you take the guts out of a new tach with the same sweep and retro-fit it?

I sent my Dixco 'Gary Beck' tach to these guys http://www.autoinstruments.com/ They're in Rhode Island, so they talk funny :) Nice work, not cheap, or particularly fast, but nice work. They also converted it to work with electronic ignition.
It's been years since I used them but I had Custone Electromotive in Whitby ON fix a few tachs for me in the past.. Here's a link below, contact them and they'll tell you if they think they can fix what you have or not..
