These original cars illustarte to everyone just the way a car looked and left the showroom. Most of the time they are not what we envison to day. I was out walking tonight and was thinking that I should take a number of photos of my neighbour's original 1968 Acadian 307 4dr car for all the guys to see how they left the factory. It was his Dad's and is untouched as well then you go and post this, what a coincidence.
That is a beautiful car. There was an identical one like that here in Kelowna last fall for sale. Same color, same powertrain, but had some more miles on it. It had just a gorgeous paint job on a frame off resto and they were asking 40 g. for it and I have a hunch that it sold. Was one of those sad stories where the guy had restored it and was in a care facility with health issues and his family was there selling it for him. He wasn't that old as his dad and sister were at a couple cruise nights showing it. Nicest GTO of any year that I've personally seen.
The 64 GTO never had splatter paint in the trunk, all trunk area got outside paint colour. But ya that is an awsum car, wish I could have some of those parts, LOL.
