...Do I ever have a sad car story to share with you guys tonight...
This past Tuesday morning, I was driving through Chilliwack, BC on HWY #1 (east bound lane) ...it was a beautiful sunny spring morning, and I'm listening to Rock 101.1 on the radio. They're inviting listeners to call in, and talk about their personel funny accident stories on the air live. ...I'm listening away, and looking at the ugly steel cable safety highway seperator barrier when all of a sudden...
...I witness a cloud of dirt and smoke and a sh*t!!! fly up into the air about 100ft infront of me in the west bound lane!!!
Pulled my truck over, and my heart sank when I saw what the vehicle was. An absolutely MINT 1967-1968 Firebird "400" convertible! ..the driver was shaken up...and very lucky to be unhurt.
I didn't want to talk to him because he was obviously in no mood for that ...he had just been cut off by a woman not paying attention in a dodge caravan! ...Ouch!!!
Not wanting to be a "gool" and hang around, I snapped one quick pic. before moving on.
Does anybody know of this car??? It was obviously in sweet condition before the accident. (the drivers side was even worse!) Poor guy.
thats a shame.. yet another reason I dont even want to hit the road with my car. lipstick, cel phone, smoke, hair do.. too many distractions man.. love to have the bush guard on my truck for that kind of stuff...

With all that construction around your house I would be worried. I almost got plowed twice on the way to your house. Before that I put on 1500 KM without one problem. Both incidents were from that bridge traffic.
Looks really tore up thank God the driver was ok, There are plenty of first generation FBs out there to replace it. Life and limb far more important than steel and rubber.
Yesterday Talk Radio 640 in Toronto's topic was "emotional attachment to cars" I listen to it on my commute. Most callers were saying how wrong it was to have an emotional attachment to an inanimmate object, some even calling it a sickness.......just saying.
