68 Fender skirts

I have a 1968 2+2. I got it painted a couple of years ago and the shop lost the chrome trim from the fender skirts. I have been searching for replacements ever since. Recently I saw a set of 1967 Grande Parisienne fender skirts advertised for sale. Does any one know if the 1967 skirts are a direct swap for the 1968 skirts?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Yes, I believe the 67's and 68's are the same.

This is the opinion of the Fender Skirt King vendor.

If the 67 GP ad you saw doesn't work out, I have a set of 68 skirts with decent chrome that I would sell cheap, as I can't use them on my 68 2+2. I have the wrong wheelwell lip opening for fender skirts.

Regards,

Scott (LandShark.....)

. . The skirts I have  have the chrome trim you are looking for. . If I cut these skirts to fit my aftermarket quarter panels I won't be able to keep the chrome. . You're welcome to them, just pay the shipping. .

The local guy with 2 sets of 1967 fender skirts finally got back to me. I was only looking for the fender skirt trim which was lost when my car was painted. I bought both sets for 50$(he wanted to get rid of them) so I should get one set of good quality chrome trim out of the deal. Based on my visual examination the 1967-68 Parisienne fender skirts are identical. Thanks to everyone who offered to help out with my problem (LandShark6B 2+2 and hdcolo). Anyone want a set of fender skirts free, just pay the shipping!
