Timing cover difference

I allready posted in the parts wanted section that I am looking for a timing cover for 261 engine from my 57 Pathfinder. I took it off a long time ago to find the right engine colour. My wife found it the kitchen and classified it as junk, so it ended up it the garbageangered.gif.  Now I am trying to find a new or used one but all i can find is covers for the V8 engines. Does anybody know if they are the same. They look verry close.

Thanks for any info.

Ben

Ben the timing cover on a 261 inliner and the V-8 are totally different. No where near one another. I have an extra 261 inline six motor that came out of a 57 Pontiac but it is complete and i want to keep it that way. Here is a number of a guy that might be able to help you or know of someone. His name is Walter and he is in Toronto (416) 757-5484. Good luck brother. Cheers. George.
