Don't go anywhere near Carlisle on the way to Charleston. Crossing at Buffalo, west to Erie Pa & straight down I 79 thru Pittsburg then into W.V  Would be "way" out of our way to go that way,but good thought anyway, never been there, always went to Hershey, yrs. ago with a friend before he passed away, haven't been back since in over 25 yrs. Hitting the raod for T O [toronto] after taking dog to kennel, around 10:30 then up Thurs. morning from Brian's house at 3:30am & hit the road, b-4 T O traffic is jambed up for rush hr.

we left on wed. afternoon ahead of plan, stayed at a hotel south of Erie Penn. then continueddown on Thurs.morning arrived at 1pm Thurs. retirement party today at noon, then another one tonight. Had a good trip down other than seeing a HORRENDOUS accident on I 90 just outside of Erie lost a 1/2 hr.in trraffic. Also had a LONG wait at Border as car ahead of us from Utah was stopped & they took the people out of the car & "escorted" them to the customs, then we had to wait for the car to be moved by one of the guards!!!!!!

Having car trouble!!!! Our friends wife put the back window down on Brian's 02 Bonniville, never been down since he's owned it, now it's "stuck" down, can hear the mtr. running, but no movement. He & Rusty have taken it to a dealer to see if they can fix it,or "jamb" the window in UP position so we can get home w/out "soaking the back set with RAIN" !!!!!

Home now had a great time, got the car fixed to the "tune" of $ 480 US  Luncheon went well & just b-4 Rusty got to the Marriot he did his "last police stop" had a car coming at him down a 1 way street the "WRONG" way. He did a 360 & chased it for 4 blocks w/lights & siren" turned out to be a 84 yr.old lady who was dissoriented, NO TICKET. Party at the Police lodge that night, won't go into details but had a hangover Sat. AM. Went back to Lodge around 11AM & became a "REDNECK" as Rusty found out I've NEVER fired a hand gun. Started out w/a 9mm S&W semi auto, then moved up to a 40mm. Last was a "Dirty Harry" 357 magnum 6 shot revolver [sounded like a cannon going off even w/ear protection] that didn't help hangover, but I actually "murdered" a pop can & both Rusty & Brian said I did well. Brian "amazed' me as he shot the can on the ground & "nailed it 3 more times" on the move!!! Guess Toronto Police lost a good shooter when he retired 2 yrs. ago. Weather was perfect, in the 70's, all their trees are in full leaf & as we came north of Pittsburg, you could see it all "revert" back to no leaves & the ground brown or bare!!!  Hated to come home to this as I was wearing tee shirt & shorts in Rusty's back yard having "****tails in the afternoon. We also went to where his 70 Cutlass is & saw the progress on it. 1 more day & he'll have the 455 "fired" up, then it's hanging body parts & interior. His friend had just built a new race car over the off season & they "lit" it up for me ,SBC cranking out at least 550hp on ALKY, dirt track super modified, that didn't help the head either but sure sound STRONG!!!!!!!!  Sorry no pictures as my wife took the camera to NY for her singing competition.Brought home the speedo drive gear for the Tremec 5spd. + some model A parts for neighbour. No problems at border on return.
