Up coming trip to Brockville

One of the guys in my car club just bought a 58 to 60 "Square Bird" Thunderbird, been looking for a "decent" one for awhile now. Not sure of the yr. but we are going to pick it up w/my car trailer next week. Will try to remember the camera this time. He has looked at quite a few but most have had "RUST" issues in the unibody, he says this ones "pretty" good.

I noticed there were a couple of nice ones on Kijiji in the last couple of weeks. Is that where he found it?

Quite possible Todd, he's allways on there looking for one. Found 2 not far from here, i rag top other htp. he wanted to hear them run & seller just wasn't interested in getting either one running, SOOO NO SALE there. This brings his "FLEET to 4 - 57 Chevy sedan Del. 67 Camero rag top, 56 Monarch 2dr. htp & the 58? T-Bird. I can see a "bigger" garage coming if he buys one more!!!

Picture 177.jpgPicture 178.jpgPicture 179.jpgHere's some pics of Len's 60 "Bird" Good trip down & back, Suburban averaged 20 Mpg on trip. OPP out in force for speeders in construction zones, "Burb" wanted to run at 70 Mph. on way back, used the cruise to hold it at 65. T-bird need some help in the interior but he got a new h/liner with it, need back seat cover, other that the rear end "howl" it's a good "SOLID car 352 V8, windows & Pwr. drivers seat

UPDATE Len was here "havin a brew" said there is over 2 grand worth of parts in trunk with the bills + another bill where the guy spent 1500 on recent repairs " BONUS" Not bad for under 10 grand!!!! Aparantly the seller was "hurtin for cash" this may become the norm in the future, great for buyers, the S$%ITS for sellers!!!!!!!!!!

Off topic Pete, but I looked at  2011 Yukon XL with 35,000 km. It was a daily rental but only to one person as they only needed it for 6 months. They are talking $36,600. How does that sound to you?

Nice TBird. There was one around the corner from us growing up back at the Parents place. Red out and inside. 352 and a 427/428 are the same dimensions...

Cool car. Like our Canadian Poncho's, you are best to buy the best one you can afford as there really isn't much of an aftermarket for them.

There's a "TON" of aftermarket stuff for these cars [that I didn't know either] Len has 3 or 4 catalogues from different suppliers. He's already found the seat covers from "LARRY's Tbird" in California, both frt Buckets & rear seat cushions $455 US + the foam for rr. seat. I may be bringing it back home as he'll have it shipped to W. V. when I go to the FOP show there 1st wknd in June with the 2+2
