Also, one thing that you might want to consider...Alberta has a program in which you can register your car to the same model year plate. (There are some restrictions that suggest that you can only drive the car to car events.) It is a one time registration fee of about $60.00. However...it might require you to possess 2 of the same plates? (I could be wrong, but worth knowing before you purchase one, or two?)

I'm in Lethbridge Alberta and when there an autoparts swap meet theres tons of nice old alberta plates for sale. Maybe place an add on KIJIJI in lethbridge or Calgary?

Cool - your complete year!!! I have a set of 1970 Alberta plates HA-19-70 that I spotted at a swap meet in 1999, he wanted $10, and I got him down to $5. But they cost me a couple hundred to get them restored. At that time, the plate restorer used a reflective white paint, but they stopped doing it shortly after that.
