65 beaumont rims, "How to ID the station wagon ones?"

I have various rims, some with a deeper front dish and some with a inch more back spacing. I'm wondering if anybody knows what you would consider a station wagon rim and what would be a 65 beaumont rim? Most of mine are 14"- 5" with 4.5" back spacing and some are 14"-6" with 5" back spacing. I have not measure the deaper front dish ones yet but what do you think?

As far as i know there was no specific rim for A-body wagons in 1964 for sure.

My cars are all the same wheels 14x5  same backspace.

Perhaps the later wagons had wider?  not sure.

All i can coment on is 1964 year,  this i know for sure

The 14-6 has a JJ mark on it also but I don't know if that counts for anything? The ones with the deeper front dish have not been stripped yet so maybe they will tell me something different. I am putting together a set of rims for the blue sd rag but I was surprised by all the different types. All of these came off 64-65 A-body cars.

From my experience, from back in the sixties..  when you guys were "gleams"

The wagon rims were easy to identify, because I had to change them "upside down" on the changer

The rims were welded with centres reversed  so the wide lip was on the outside

Carl,  You are thinking of Fullsize chevy rims from 1958 to 1963.

You are correct that fullsize cars had wider rims for wagons but,

From what i have seen chevelles all use the same rims(at least in 1964)

First generation Chevelle & Beaumont wagons only came with 14x5 rims. Later when the big block came out & also the wide oval tire cars the 14x6 wheels were used (but wagons still only used 14x5). I'm not even sure that 14x6 wheels were used on big block Canadian Malibu SS & big block Beaumont Sport Deluxe models for 1966.

Dang, where is my Beaumont Parts Book to check the applications?

Now that is a neat fact that there were 14-6  on BB cars. I never knew that. I have ones with a different lip on the front that looks deaper also. Sounds like I should take some pictures.
