The 53 pontiac that I just bought has I believe a chev 6 in it

can anyone tell me what it is

 

3836848  GM1    with a mckinnon logo  at the other end

668900 stamped at the distributer pad

I GOOGLED THAT #. IS 3836848 THE # ON THE HEAD? IF SO IT IS A 235 CU.IN. 1956 OR LATER.

Mike Yes that is the number on the head, where else is there numbers on the engine, and is the 235 a fill pressure engine
