ring size


so if i have a 4"bore and my pistons measure 3.98" what would my ring size be?

im not sure... from my understanding just do the math..... 4.00-3.98 would be .02"

I am guessing they are aluminum pistons? becuase metals expand at a diffrent rate the ring size would have to be slightly smaller then the bore because if it was the same size when it expands it would drag really bad. so i would say 3.99 just what i am thinking don't take my word for it lol

4 inch std rings for a 4 inch std bore. It`s the ring end gap that you need to check.biggrin
