I am selling my '65 Acadian Invader "Gasser" project. 2 Door post car. I have no time to finish this, and need to free up space at my Dad's, where it's parked. It needs to go to a good home, with someone who will enjoy it.
It has a fiberglass one piece flip front end, with the original acadian grill and head lights fitted. Driver's side floor pan has been replaced with a goodmark panel. No other rust.
It has a straight axle conversion up front, with a tubular axle, and leaf springs. The spindles are '37-'41 Ford "super bell" spindles from Speedway motors, 10 1/2" vented rotors with GM metric calipers.
Interior is stock, red, with original bench seat and radio delete option!
The engine is a 350, bored .030 over, with an unknown cam, and flat top pistons. Has new gaskets and seals. Carb is a 625 cfm Demon "road demon". Heads are ported and polished iron heads. Has gasser style hooker fenderwell headers. The radiator is an aluminum 4 core from speedway, and has an electric fan from a ford taurus.
Transmission is a th350 with a shift kit (shifts hard) and a b & m ratchet shifter. Also installed is a line lock, with button on shifter handle.
It has a 8 pt roll cage started, and the back bars are bent so that you can still have passengers in the back. Also has a 5 point racing harness. Battery has been relocated to the trunk. Frame connectors have been welded in.
Front wheels are 14" kidney slots, rears are 15" rally wheels. Also have a set of 14" rallies to go with it, as well as 15" hoosier slicks with a few passes left on them.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, so if you have questions, just ask!
DAM!!! and here I sit, broke!! Somebody please buy my '63 and I'm ona plane for this one! Could not be any more exactly (well, probably, could put a BB Chev in there?) what I want. I'll email and offer cash and trade, see what happens.
Reminds me of the original Thomas/Harrell gasser Novas!. Cool deal and being an Invader Post is just icing!. Check in w/ 67rag396 as there may still be a ride East for it!.

PS - Here's some good reading on the original V8 Novas, a couple o' cool threads from when THE original 'Bill Thomas Instant Funny' showed up on the Yenko site!.
