While washing the car yesterday, I noticed something peculiar. Passenger side front wheel well, tire sits great inside well and u can see entire tire, but on drivers side, the tire is obstructed by about two inches from the wheel well, like its been lowered! If I grab drivers fender well with both hands, and lift front corner of car, it comes up that couple inches, and remains there, until I turn steering wheel or push down on it. Like a pair of pants without a belt, u can pull them up , but they start to sag back down again! Question, is it the coil that needs replacing or something else?

Get it on level ground to start...If it's still off i'd pull the wheels and take a look for anything obvious. Probably the spring but on my Beaumont the lower A-arms were rotton and needed to be replaced.
One of the things the previous owner said, was the springs were replaced some time ago but may need new ones again. Since this stuff is all a little new to me, how will I know what springs to put in? I like the ride height right now, but if I get new ones how can I now there not gonna raise the front too much, or lower it more than it is now?
How high does it sit now? Big block or small block? I dont care for the height the stock springs set the front end to. There's loads of options for your car. Just look at 66-67 chevelle stuff. Post a good side pic of how your car sits.
It sits like yours! 454 in her too! I don't understand how u buy springs, hoping that after they're paid for and installed, it sits how u like! Cause if it doesnt, then what, remove everything and take springs back, and repeat process till you like the height!! Or, theres gotta be an easier way without cutting springs! The top of tire is about 1.5 inches lower than well trim!
Sounds like its already lowerd...You dont want stock springs thats for sure. Take a front wheel off and look all over the spring for a name/part number. My hotchkiss springs say their name on them...I'm thinkin yours are 2-3 inch drop springs.
keep in mind there are a few ways to lower your ride. It could have dropped spindles using stock springs and still have that stance. Usually though guys put in the drop springs instead. The drop spindles give you full suspension geometry while dropping the stance, the springs affect the handling making it real firm on the front which usually is a good thing if you have headers and clearance issues
I do have header and oil pan clearance issues!! Also I should note, that when I take a somewhat slow sharp turn into a driveway ramp, there's a rubbing sound, and feels like the car( because of weight being thrown to that side) dips! When I turn at a street intersection doesn't seem to be a concern, just when turning on an incline or decline!
