59-64 Power Steering Interchange

Does anybody know for sure if ANY or ALL of the 64 V8 power steering parts will interchange/bolt on a 59?

I DO know that 57,58 & 59's used a P/S pump mounted on the back end of the generator.(both were driven off the same pulley)

Are you trying to make it look stock or just add power steering? I had a 62 Bel Air a number of years ago that a previous owner added power steering with a later model power steering box.

Thanks

Randy

.....YES no problem, 60-64 used same pump and brackets. The steering arms and ram same 58-64. Chev, Pontiac , Corvette even used the same ram system.   I just looked on a 59 283 block and it is drilled in front for the bracket so you should be OK to go.

 OK,thanks!

I guess if I got a generator with PS pump & the correct lines,we'd be good to go.

Do you know if the 60-64 283 pump & brackets will fit 348?

283/348 brackets are different

'63-'64 pitman arm/center link is different than the '60-'62s

 That's good to know......

Will the 64 pitman arm fit on the 59 box?

Anybody out there got a 348 PS pump mount bracket?

I have been told you can put a 283 bracket on a 348 by drilling a hole some where not sure where I'm not that far yet.

I'm STILL in the "design stages" as well........sounds logical to drill a different hole..

I will post when we get a bit deeper into it.

LMK when YOU get to that point.
