He has always owned many Pontiac LeMans from the years '73 - '77
His Cup car has the complete NACA hood (with scoop doors), 400 ci, louvered windows, rally gauges.
He has several other LeMans kicking around his place and 5 spare NACA hoods!
No computer access, but I have his phone #. He is looking for some parts.

Don't get me started on the NACA thing. It's not an NACA hood !!! There is no documentation from GM Canada ever calling this a NACA hood. GM Canada called this a "hood with dual NASA type scoops" in absolutely every bit of litertaure you can find. NACA is an American argument promulgated by the POCI boys who decided that GM can't call the hood whatever they want.
Anyway I have heard about the 400 Cup Car on the east coast, I have heard that only 3 with the 400 are known to exist.
Only 3 with a 400 existing ... wow (out of a total of 1732 made). I'll give him a call and try to get pics/more info. on his car. It's not in pristine shape, but all there.
Is there a way by the tag to tell if it is a real Cup Car. Special paint code?
Sorry about the NACA thing Ray ... I keep forgetting which is right NACA or NASA

That 1,732 number is for all 1975 GT optioned cars not Canada Cup cars. It is believed that each GM zone office got one Cup car to sell. That was about 48 in total.
If he reads his paper work it lists same model or same RPO code = 1.732 which is GT option. Canada Cup car was another special option on top of GT option.
Three of anything is rare but in this case it is probably 3 of 48 or so.. The GT option required a V8 so in '75 the choices were 350 2 & 4bbl Chevrolet and 400 Pontiac. Most were 350's.
Don't apologize on NACA NASA it starts a discussion every time. I side with NASA
