Hey Swift I love Cuda's as well , check out my Grandfathers Cuda , he sponsered this car from 70-72. they got it brand new from Vancouver Chrysler and pulled the original 426, sold it back to the dealer and dropped in a race 426 he owned so he sponsered the car. He bought it back in the early 80's as it looks in the pics I took while it was in my shop.

The guy that bought it off the orignal gang caged it , crappy tub job and never even had an engine in it. So my gramps bought it as it looks here and its been sleeping since the 70's. Oringinal 4spd , 426 car , check out the mileage

I've asked many times lets get it running as he has all the parts but he just chuckles ya will get there... no no

I love cudas as well but are out of my price range. My fav is the judge and is also out of range. As soon as i saw the back of my 442 i knew it was what i was looking for and would not break me.I have to learn to drive and take pics at the same time as ive seen some beautiful older cars around.Find most people respect these beautiful machines with the exception of the new mustangs and challengers. They just want to race with their plastic cars with horsepower.I cant wreck mine and pick a new one up the next day. Some just dont appreciate the good ole days and cars.Mustang owners want to race but a chevelle owner wants to look and have his looked at also. There was a nice new candy red mustang in the parking lot and a couple people were looking.I pulled up and they left the mustang and come to look at mine. The mustang left. Now had the car for 2 weeks and have 5 offers.I just tell them you will have to ask the new owner next year.My Beaumont will be done and its not for sale.

OMG is right this car is like a brand new car for the most part. Interior ,seats, carpet are mint its like going back in time when you sit in it!! Not one once of bondo in it either every panel is completly rust free and have never been off the car , its been stored indoors for the last 30 + years. Would have been the ultimate barnfind smile

 Nice car

if grandpa has had it sitting since the 80's   it will probably never get done, as long as Grandpa is alive..    Better put your name on it...

Your right Carl he has so many projects / stuff it would blow your mind. Hes ran his own speed shop since the 60's even raced at the Winternational's in '63. I have given him enough hints about that car so only time will tell!! Heres a couple more pics.

P.S. sorry for dumping on your thread Swift

Your right Todd it probably was a tough one to stop. It was neat when he brought the car to my shop for storage for a few months while he sold his old shop, I bolted all the seats back in her. I found 3 time slips under the drivers seat from our local dragstrip from back in the early 70's. The fastest one read
11.64 @ 119.26 MPH !!! Cool!! But it did not look like it is today. It was totally stock looking with the hockey stick strip that read HEMI on the quater panel. Gramp's told me they ran a 6:13 gear ratio in the diff with a tall slick smile I'm trying hard to scan his original pics of her!!

Yes, that is a great story. How did it end up with it's current paint job?

Todd it was painted that awful strip job in the late 70's from the guy my Grandfather bought it off. He had big plans for the car hence the cage and crappy tub jog. He made a mess of it. But it was the late 70's so guess no one knew what a Hemi Cuda would be worth 30 years later disbelief
