I almost bought one exactly the same (interior was white) at an RM auction in Toronto about 10 years ago. 13,000 at the time. Was worth every penny, but unfortunately, I couldn't afford it.
There was also a very nice red on red on red 68 or 69 Beaumont convertible there with something like 50,000 original miles. A bit plain jane, but still beautiful. I think it went for 11,000 ish. Couldn't afford it either.
Even if you can't buy at these auctions, I like just taking in the atmosphere and getting up real close to the cars.
Dad bought a used 68 GS 350 in 1970, red like that with a white stripe along the rocker. White interior and a 2 speed auto on the column. The 68-69 Skylarks must have the skinniest fender skirts ever- why bother?
Next time you come here for a visit Paul, drive here in a BC '64 Parisienne, with an aqua interior.
