Ian, welcome aboard!! Since I have never seen a RHD Cluster for '67, are they different??? Can you post a picture?

How about a pic or 2 of your car?

Hi there, Here is a pic of my dash.  My car is just a rolling shell at the mo, pic attached.  Really hope I can find a cluster.  It's the same one as a 65 RHD impala.

HI Ian, if vince can't help out then we should be able to. I had no idea the dash bezel and ass'y was the same as '65 impala's. But also be advised that the '65 also had plain dash and impala dash and s.s. dash, they just get a little 'chromier' with each model. Cheers Dave

Will a LHD dash not be hard to install?

Looking at the picture, the dash cluster looks identical to the '65s that we have in the yard. The only wonder I have is the shifter indicator as the shifter appears to be on the left side of the column. More pictures would definately help though!! Dave

I am not sure if the rhd Pontiac dash differed slightly from the Chevy version. The '65 transposed dash was used in Chevs and Pontiacs from 1965 to 1968. For two years only, '67 and '68 there wete rhd Grandes Parisiennes and Caprices in South Africa and they may have had more embellishment. I have seen SA magazine articles on tests of a '67 GP and Caprice but don;t have them to hand.

Not to go too far off topic but it is interesting to also note the master power window switch having to be on the right front door. This means these cars with power windows must have a different wiring harness than ours.

We do have a few gauge clusters here, what all do you need exactly so we can price it accordingly. One thing for sure is ours may be priced higher than someone who doesn't have overhead and employees to pay. So if your patient we can see if Vince has got one for you first. I have no problems with saving money if you can, I try to save where ever I can too!! Thanks Dave

Well, looks like the cluster is different!!! The radio is sandwiched between the cluster and the clock, (which is missing in this photo) and the complete unit is longer!!! Or do you just need the actual cluster itself?

What is the time difference between you and us in Canada? Time posted: 8:34pm July 29/'11.

Hi Dave,

Thats good news!  I was beginning to lose hope.  Are you sure its the shorts RHD cluster, and not the longer LHD one?

I need the bezel housing that surrounds the speedo, clock and fuel guage.  But I wouldn't mind the whole unit if possible as it doesn't hurt to have spares.

Please can you send a pic and let me know the price.

Thanks very much

Ian

PS, Thanks for having a look Vince, much appreciated.

Ian, I'm sorry but thanks to Vince he pointed out the radio delete which I hadn't noticed (Thanks Vincent by the way!) and mine are the same as his, so I guess its back to the drawing board. Will ask around to some of our sources. Cheers Dave.

Hey Ian,

Welcome to the site from an English member.

From what's been posted so far it looks like your search has to be in RHD market countries. I'll ask around people I know in the UK.

While you're searching could you keep yours eyes open for a RHD '64 dash chrome bezel? Mines very pitted and was butchered in the middle by a previous owner for a radio fit. It's the same part on all RHD B body Pontiacs '61 to '64 and, as you can see below, also RHD Chevys.

Hi There,

Sounds like a fair deal!  I have contacts in NZ as well as here so will ask them about your dash for you.  Unfortunately, they haven't found one for mine yet, so if you do, that would be brilliant mate.

Hopefully speak soon,

Ian
