Hello from Victoria B.C.

Hello all.

I've already posted about a tilt wheel but thought I would introduce myself. I've always been a Grand Prix guy, actually a 69 Grand Prix guy and have recently turned back into that person. I had previously owned three Grand Prix's, an SJ 428 auto, a J 428 4 speed, a J 400 auto and my latest, a J model 400 auto. These cars do not come up for sale very often in this city so when I saw the ad I had to have a look. I figured I would check it out, maybe go for a test drive but no way could I afford or store this car. It had been over 25 years since I had one of these and as soon as I heard it fire up I started to do some calculations in my head. I liken it to quittiing smoking, one drag and you can get hooked again. Well the test drive definately hooked me. A deal was worked out, and I now own my fouth Grand Prix. It is bone stock and pretty much completely unmolested. The guy I bought it from had bought it from the original owners 3 months ago. The shoulder belts still have the factory plastic on them. The paint is crap but I guess that lasting 40 years it really did its duty well as there is no rust to speak of. So now I start the fun of clean up. I am looking forward to having a car whose mechanics I understand, no computer!!!!!!!!! I see that it has Philips screws used so I guess it actually isn't a Canadian built car??? But I'm Canadian and this forum seems real nice and friendly so I look forward to a happy relationship.
