Waterpump Pontiac Parisienne Mod. 1969

Hi

We have again a small Problem with our Pontiac in the Philippines.

The inner-Bearing of the waterpump is defectif!

We try to remove the axel and the propeller, but we are unsure, if we can do it, coz the axel is locked and prevented to move.

Do You have any experience about this? How we can reach the inner-bearing for replacement?

Numbers on the Pump: 3788478 GM 18   0II0

Thanks very much for Your soon response.

kundly regards

Your PONTIAC-Fan from Bohol, Philippines

Are there no complete water pumps there to buy. Here we buy a rebuilt or new pump ready to install.

Hi JC

Thanks for Your answer.

In the province, nothing. Maybe in manila. They have also a Fan-Club under "musclecars". Not Pontiac-specific.

If I have to ask in canada, what could it cost? And what's about the xeactly type?

Are my Numbers ok for identification? and...where I can find apump like this in Canada?

Thanks again.

Hans, you have a Chevrolet 4.1 litre (250ci) engine in your car so any Chevrolet of that era and probably newer will fit.....

Yes, no problem to find one here in Canada. You could also try ebay.

Hello to all, who was willing to help me.... Everything is now ok. How it comes: My mechaniks detached the pump, then brought it to the machineshop in tagbilaran. After 1 hour the call:"pump is now succesfull in pieces". After, without order, my guy went to a small shop with 12 sqm, where we found already the oilfilter befor. and....the salesguy went to the back, and got all the spareparts for our GM-punp in his hands. Now, the pump is installed and ok! It seems, that during the last decades, there was some chevys also on our island bohol. Now, the salesguy was happy, my mech also, and especially me and my wife. Anyway, many thanks to all you guys! It's a good feeling, in matters like this, not to be alona. have a nice evening hanspeter and thata
