1947 Nash 600 Brougham Coupe from N Dakota.Original paint/patina. (actually not much paint left). Looks absolutely barn fresh inside and out. Appearance not messed with at all except seats redone. Rebuilt 454, LS6 pistons,781 heads, 9:1 compression HEI, new stock cam, smooth idle.Custombuilt headers. Quiet 2.5"exhaust,alum int. 600 holley alum.Rad, 400 turbo. Gm 8.2 posi with 390 gears. Front brakes converted to large AMC disc, S10 m/c & booster. all other systems modified way too much to list but all done to hide the fact that the car is modified at all.Stock unibody with Nash suspension, 4 coils. Drives like an old Caddy, looks innocent, eats ponycars. Did I say Rat rod? www tires, everything works. Most people have no clue what this even is.
I'd like to see it bury the original 110 mph speedometer.
I wonder if the steering/handling components have been updated also? Still has stock, 4 coil original suspension with a big block.
Very cool car!

Do you know why this model was called the 600? Bet the reasoning doesn't hold any longer.
A: The '600' name comes from the car's ability to go 600 miles on one tank of gasoline (20 gallon tank and 30 miles/gallon).
The reasoning doesn't hold any more ... not with the big block in it.
