68 Deluxe Finally Done

Well after 11 months and tons of cash we finally gave new life to my 68 Deluxe. It had been "personalized" by the last owner and left out for dead. Any bondo and rust found was replaced with new metal covered in 6 coats of base and 4 coats of clear. I would show you all of the progress photos but we don't have the bandwidth. Brand new interior from top to bottom, new engine, front discs, Hotchkis suspension, TH400 with a 12 bolt Posi. There are still some things I want to change (take out 3"exhaust for 2.5) to quiet it down, better rims and tires.. It is not restored back to exact original as some of you will notice but it is as close to as I am going with it. Thanks to Dave at Tim Man for all of your help and parts. BTW the blue one s the new one, the red is where it came from.

Great job, love the new colour and stock interior over the older modified one. Good choice.

What horsepower rating does your engine have?

A 3" pipe will rob horsepower unless you are running a high horsepower (400+ HP) engine.

Thanks everyone, still getting the bugs out. The HP is in excess of 400, I like the more stock sound with a rumble. That will be the winter project.

Wow, very very nice.  (I jumped directly to the pictures and was thinking "man, I liked it better when it was blue" LOL)  Great job!

Thanks everyone, and thanks Carl for the organization of the photos. I have a ton of hard photos of the build and a few digital ones but here are a few random ones.
