1969 Beaumont on Ebay

The 69 Butternut Yellow with white painted top and red interior car that has been talked about on here a couple times in listed on Ebay. It's at a used car dealership in the Chicago Il area. Any guesses at to what the bidding will end at? I say around $7500.

I drove past this car again on the weekend. It is a really tough market today for this car especially in the US.

Hmmm... I was trying to remember the details on this car, so I re-read a couple of old threads on this car, it is a unique example for sure, and it would be cool to see it come back to its home country...

From this thread, it looks like it was bought for $8600 back in 2006:

From this CP thread, looks like it went to a dealer (the current ebay seller) who was asking $15,900 at one point, then Carl of 427 fame had it down to $11K:

As I type this, it has only been bid up to $3550 but there's still 4 days left...

What would be a fair price to pay for this car in today's market?  I'm wondering if the colour combo, although rare and interesting, might turn off some potential buyers...

From my way of thinking, anything south of $10K would be a good deal, but let's see what the market bears.

Would love to see somebody from CP bring it back home...

That pinstriping might be a turn-off to some buyers as well. (Especially fans of original paint!)

After reading through the previous posts I see that it isn't original paint.

If I bought a car from this era with pinstriping like that, it would be the first thing to come off. It suites some cars, but not this one.

I tried to bid on it-but it wouldn't accept an outside U.S. bidder

If you contact the seller directly, they might change the stipulations to let you bid on it.  It might be a default setting that they never thought to change when they started it up.  In the past I've bought items that said US bidders only after I asked the seller if they would sell to Canada.

 I bid 5000 on it

its says on my screen that I have to have Pay Pal

Brad said it needed interior work

but I figured it needed body work and paint

but it looks good underneath  ..

I had taked to Sue the owner  She had a shipper for it to  Port Huron Mi. for 650.00

I have pay pal too-but was just bidding $5069 to bump it up a little not sure why it wouldn't take my bid---you deserve it more anyway

I'm surprised that your 5069 would not bump it

I thought about the car the other day(thinking how scarce the cars are getting), and looked it up and it was still advertised at 12,900

They must be getting tired of it by nowbiggrin

I didn't want a car that need to be stripped down for paint  but If it can be bought cheap enough  I would buy it

I'm guessing the reserve is 10G  so I'm real brave up to 8000   lol lol     and
