1969 Beaumont resto progress

Well my mission before winter was to get the beaumont painted and with a little luck, some timeoff work and good weather I finished the paint job. I did it myself at home with a friend with painting experience keeping a watchfull eye on my. the paint went on great but I had a little trouble with the clearcoat and some runs but they all sanded out. Now I am going to trailer the car the a shop and have the Black Vinyl roof installed. My project over the winter is to finish the wiring and get to the interior that I ordered from Legendary. With any luck she should be on the road next spring !!!   Mylo

The car looks great Mylo. A car is always more special when you do most of the work yourself.

Great looking car, vinyl top will only make it look better. If you can, cover as much of the car as you can because,if it's done like mine was, they spray the adhesive on and it settles everywhere and was a real problem to get rid of because the car hadn't been painted yet.

Very nice. Have you decided on a wheel and tire combo yet?

I am going to order a set of Craiger SS rims for her,  15 X 6 " fronts and 15 X 8 " on the rear with BF Goodrich Radial Tires. There is an outfit in the US that bought the patent From Craiger so they are reproducing that version again, about $225 for the fronts and $250 FOR THE REARS. I have a friend that owns a tire shop so I can get the tires at his cost.

Nice! I'm really looking forward to seeing your car with the roof and wheels. Perhaps you could send photos of it's finished to canadianponcho@rogers.com and we'll consider featuring it.
