Another 427 car (1969 Parisienne)

The engine is in far-from-original trim, though I was told it was the original engine.  Don't have any other details, just posting for those that find it interesting.

So many Canadian cars are "poverty cars". Especially compared to the US Bonnevilles, which you see a heck of a lot more of than you ever did Grande Parisiennes.

I've never seen an AC-equipped convertible, though there's no reason one wouldn't exist...

My 69 Grande Parisienne 4 door hardtop 427 car had air. GM zone managers car in Winnipeg. It had almost every option except for (of all things) tilt wheel and power antenna. Go figure...

This car is John's car, gparis7. I looked at that car too when Scotti had it for sale about 2004.

Pretty sure, when Scotti had it it had those Mickey Thompson valve covers and air cleaner. The salesman told me it was the original engine and that the orignal pieces would be in the trunk with the car.

It's my car. Engine no longer looks like that. Scotti was supposed to provide the original valve covers and air cleaner - his salesman even wrote it in the contract. That was 8 years ago. I'm still waiting.

I'm a bit curious about the idiot lights just below the speedometer, what are they for?   At first glance I thought maybe it was a ralley guage cluster, but I see the normal fuel guage (the ralley clusters had the brake idiot light below the speedo)

I also see it has the rosewood steering wheel.  Is that in the build sheet, or added later.

I have one of those, came original in my Laurentian. One is Seat Belts, the other is Headlights. You still have the four normal quad of oil/amp/temp/etc lights.

There's also a "door ajar" dash for taxis that I've never seen in person, but is listed in the book.

I do have a rally dash cluster for it but I doubt that I'll ever install it.

I believe the steering wheel was added as it's not listed in the options catalogues I've seen.

The car has PS, PB, P seat, vac door locks, power trunk release, tilt wheel, Comfortron AC, and map light in the rear view mirror.

When I got the car it had 14 inch chrome reverse wheels, front drum brakes aftermarket air cleaner and MT valve covers, all of which appear to me to have been added when the car was fairly new. All changed out now.

The spare tire is on the 14 by 6 inch deep station wagon wheel that came standard on 68-69 Canadian Pontiacs.
