after market gas tank


Is is possible ther are no baffles in the after market gas tank i installed ?

my gas guage will mo9ve from full to almost 1/2 when i excellerate fast..

I think you are correct Lefty. Seems to me, the one in my 63 Acadian wagon does the same sort of thing.

I think the stock one is bare inside as well, is it not?

I can check. I tthink I still have the one off my 65 SD or the one  off 67SD396's Acadian wagon, one of the two.

thanks guys, i thought i was having trouble with the sender but it turns out my gauge was sticking.
would show full then all of a sudden down to 1/2
have another gauge from a standard cluster, i will see if it will fit..

GM never figured out how to make a proper gasoline gauge. They read differently going around corners, parking on a grade you name it. Very common on acceleartion.

Lefty, don't acclerate fast, go around corners "real" slow, & don't stop fast & you'll be just fine!!!!

Weld some baffles in the tank (empty gas first)blankstare (just kidding).

My current car's tank does the same, my '68 442 did the same.
