Todd Are you still looking for an old GM bubble style motor home? There's one for sale down the block from me. I don't know the owners, but I could take a few pictures and get some info if interested. I have no idea what year, but at a quick glance, it looked like one of the tail-draggers posted on here before... Wes
Well Todd, Like you I'm searching the motorhome market right now. I'm leaning toward a 34-38 ft Class A instead of buying a newer bigger boat. Lot's to choose from as the sellers market is soft to very soft. So a good time to be a buyer. I had my eye on a diesel, but gassers are a better bargain right now.
Yes. I wouldn't mind an older Class A on a GM "P"chassis. It looks like these are the easiest to service..
Don't bother with an old A class unless it's dirt cheap and has an aluminum/fiberglass skin like a Holiday Rambler, Airstream or one of the other high end brands. Newmar, etc. The siding over wood frame ones are usually toast and leak. That is unless you want to spend all your time working on it instead of travelling. Another thing to remember is alot of the sites such as KOA won't allow the oldies in for the night.
Hey Todd, i went to look at a beauty today. a 98 Newmar Mountain Aire 37 ft Diesel pusher with a 12 ft slide, basement, 2 roof air, furnace, genny, oak hardwood floors and cabinets, leather, loaded. I think it was about $150,000 new. Waiting on a price call back. I think I'll move into it if i get it. Park it at Turkey Pt. on lake Erie and live out my Jim Rockford fantasy life! Just have to buy another gold Firebird Esprit.
