I am re-doing the sway bar bushings / assembly in the front end and wondering if there is a replacement sway bar that I could order that would be thicker than the stock to tighten up the suspension.
Companies and or any suggestions would be great.
As well as this...... any suggestions on shocks. I will be using this as a daily driver.
Sway bar is a sway bar probably not "tighten up suspension" ??
heres a note from internet....
Sway bars were just about unheard of back then on full size cars. It is an area were you either go all original to garner points at a car show; or upgrade the car to bring it up to modern safety and performance standards.
You have to remember when these cars were designed (by an engineer with a slide rule and book full of log tables, as there were no computers running CAD) there were no super highways built. the average top speed for this car back then was only 45 miles an hour (this is why the brakes are so bad, it didn't have to stop the car from that high of a speed).
Even with a stiff front bar the car will twist in the center allowing the front to roll in relation to the back.
