I am selling this car for a friend whose grandmother, the first and only owner has just passed. She special ordered this car brand new from a dealership on Vancouver Island as her Sunny Day Sun-Day driver. The vehicle is till in the family now resides in British Columbia, Canada, 20 minutes from the US. Border.
I will describe this vehicle as accurately as possible however, Id be happy to pass along any questions you may have so feel free to ask (like is this the real deal?) yes, yes it is. Keep in mind that this vehicle rolls but has not been driven for the last countless number of years (the insurance papers would prove that), so the carb, engine, trans, rear end, brakes, bearings, etc, will all need to be refreshed before this vehicle can be made road worthy. All records of insurance, build sheet, service records, bill of sale Im told, can all be made available.
-There is a reasonable reserve placed on this vehicle which experienced and knowledgeable buyers would find reasonable so please refrain from asking.
-This vehicle is perfect for an easy restoration. Those who know and are in the business of restoration will certainly be interested in seeing the attached photos.
-Rust - Free means that the surface rust on the bottom of the doors and such (shown) comes free with the car! However, there are no visible areas where any rust has rust has actually penetrated any metal.
-The VIN has been kept private as per request.
-Clear Title. There are no liens, pending litigation, nothing.
-Original Bias Ply tires come with the car.
-The original windshield wiper fluid from the original glass bottle that came with the car is still in the windshield wiper reservoir.
-Original paint.
-Light fridge magnets stick to metal everywhere on the vehicle, so to the best of our knowledge, this vehicle has never been in an accident as all the gaps are good and all panels are straight.
-Original 283 V-8 resides under hood
-Original 2 speed power-glide
-Original Power steering and power drum brakes
-Convertible top is in great condition. It was replaced some time back though.
-Interior is all original including seats, door panels, everything. (dont remember seeing seat belts).
I know a little. A guy I've know 10+ years has it from his grandmothers estate. He said she bought it new, and guarantee's mileage is original. Car hasn't run for several years, but is complete. He is an engine builder/machinist, so I'm sure he will get it running. It's in Langley BC. I haven't seen it.
