'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
One day I'm going to get me a real Caddy like that.
My Fleetwood is 20 years old next year then I can take it to cruise night but it is really is a prentender and not in the same league as this.
I would say the day has come. When will be the next time you see one for that money. I have over $12000.00 in the 61 and the frame is not even done yet.

Well Vern, its sort of about the DTS I bought in June and the last $8,000 payment due to U of T for this year's tuitions. Oh ya and that big block swap, was a high HP low buck swap but we're still talking about $2,000 all in, that 454 took $120 in coolant alone ! Daughter's are putting pressure on me to trade Suburban in on Escalade too
The price of the '62 is about what these sell for in Toronto, I know another real nice '59 that has been for sale since last summer for $21,000, turn key car too, ivory top with sandstone body, bubble top style as well -- yes Pete the '62 is a bubble top.
I think it is always less expensive to buy a turn key car rather than restore a y ou point out about your '61.
