Heater core

I have my heater core out of the 68 Beaumont and I was wondering if there was a way to test it to see if it has more life. I do not have ac.

I'd take it to a rad shop and have it pressure tested.

I did buy a new one and it's not like 1968. they sure are alot cheaper now. I was thinking of a PSI test and just wondering if anybody knew what the max PSI would be when the car is running.

I would take Clint's suggestion and go to a shop and get it tested. I am here in Kelowna too and I did that and it is only a few bucks. What I've seen some of the replacement ones are crap. For how much of a pain they are when they leak I would just pay a litttle extra and get them to recore it if it fails the test. You get the proper fit then too.

I presume you're running a 15 PSI radiator cap, so the maximum pressure would be 15 PSI.   The rad shops do this type of thing all the time.

When I replaced the heater core on the 454 Laurentian this fall, I took the new one in to have it pressure tested.  The guy behind the counter said "you're smart", as he knew how much work they are to change.  They called me later that day say it was good and to pick it up, and didn't even charge me.

Yep, you don't want to put the core back in only to have to change it out a little while later. If it's pooched, a re-core might be a good option.
