For Sale,, 1968 Beaumont SD 396 convertable, Original !! One of 65 ever built,,, ( less than 10 known to exist ) Rarest of the rare!! This is an original 396/350hp 3 sp auto, buckets, console, tach and gauges, with white body with a white top. This car comes with the original engine with original numbers, it is documented with the G.M. Canada build sheet, under seat built sheet and cowl tag, that has never been removed.. This car is a roller project that has engine and trans out of the car,, it needs a full restore, interested buyers pls email for more details

You are absolutely correct. Tons of them out there for sale. Wait them out and they will come up for sale for at least under $3,000, probably even cheaper if you wait awhile for the prices to come down even more. I can't believe these guys can ask these prices for cars that they made that many of; ie there is at least 64 of them out there to be sold to the unsuspecting. The last two engines I saw that were purchased and had to be numbers matching ran between $20,000 and $25,000, but then again they had to be rebuilt. This one the engine is numbers matching BUT it may have to be rebuilt as well. The SD coupes are all over the place as they made almost 700 of them compared to 77,000 plus or minus SS Chevelles so a convertible would be a possibly better investment. They probably run in the $1,500 range while this convertible should realistically be around $3,000 to $3,500. The nerve of some of these people asking these prices just amazes me.
