1970 Ford Galaxie XL - Original paint and interior. 429/4V motor with 3 speed automatic. This car has the original burgundy paint with a matching burgundy vinyl roof. It has the bucket seat and console option along with power steering and power front disc brakes. This was originally a California car so it is a pretty solid car with no rot or bondo on the body. It is also a factory AC car but all the AC components are not installed but will come with the car. I will also include all kinds of parts that I have been accumulating over the last 2 years. I bought this to be a father/son project but both my son and I changed our interest so that is why I am selling the car. It was certified in 2010 when it arrived from the States so it would easily be certified again. There is a vacuum leak with the headlight switch so the headlight doors doees not stay closed when parked. Call Art at (416) 626-1334 for details

The price is right. Big block 2 door, bucket seat oldie from California with original paint for $4800. Lots of $$ left over for a paint job.

I know somebody who likes Fords, very nearby me too. He might want to go see this one.

I love how the instrument panel was set up solely for the driver. The passengers couldn't even control the radio!

Man, you just never see these anymore. They must have rusted out quicker than our CP B bodies. I love it, and I don't like anybody adjusting my radio as I drive! Good price for a solid Cal car.

I never understood why Ford felt it necessary to shoehorn the Boss 429 cresent motor into the tight Mustang with all the attendant modifications, when it would have been a lot easier to go into the Torino line. The easiest Boss 429 recipient would have to be the big Ford XL. Wouldn't that be cool! There was a time when the big cars ruled at NASCAR, but the last I recall seeing them was around 1968.

Neat car, and certainly uncommon today. Fords of that era were  unbelievable rustbuckets; something to do with bad metal or poor paint prep or coverage.

I agree, lose the fuzzy dice!

Not a bad looking car for a Ford of that era. I like the FB roof, but the interior color doesn't appeal to me. Love the 429 and the hideawaya.

Those cars rusted quickly and badly. We had a new one back in '70 and it was rusting by '71. My folks traded it in for a new '74 Gran Torino and it was full of holes by then. Maybe the Ford dealer gave them way more than anyone else for it. The Torino was the same way 4 years later.

I got the info to the guy I know. He's taking his son to a big train show in Toronto today so not going to see it BUT I am sure he is interested. I've been on a few Ford excursions with him and everyone is right these cars and Fords in general just rust like no tomorrow. He's got a huge 69 Meteor right now that I have no idea how it doesn't break in half.

Just drive the snot out of it before it becomes a pile of rust. Quite a few Caramilk bars exploded in it's interior.biggrin

Use it as a winter beater and tell every Ford Lover that is a beater. LOL
I actually kinda like it, so fugly I like it. Hideways sex on any car, and as Todd noted the dash is cool. They make paint everyday.
