oil pressure switch


can anybody tell me if i swapped out the distributor would my oil  gauge act up? ity seems to fine at idol but once i start high revs the needle shakes....could it be the switch or maybe ground issue or is it the HEI...thansk jim 69 428

Take a reading with a mechanical gauge and compare.

Any chance?? you might have knocked the wire loose on the sender?? it's right there close to the dist.!!!

 It would be a loose connection on your sending unit for the gauge. The distributer swap would not have anything to do with it.  Or the wire has been pinched and is grounding out with the engine movement while running. Or.. your sending unit has failed or failing.   Good luck
